MOT, OTR/L
With over 16 years of experience as an occupational therapist, Micayla brings a holistic and compassionate approach to supporting children and their families. Her clinical background spans neuro-based subacute care, home and community settings, and, most extensively, neurodevelopmental pediatrics.
She has specialized training in the development of fine and gross motor skills across the lifespan, as well as in oral motor ties, feeding therapy, sensory integration techniques, and executive functioning support. She is also trained in Craniosacral Therapy for both adults and infants, which complements her hands-on, individualized approach to care.
Her therapeutic style is rooted in providing high-quality, individualized care that honors each child’s unique strengths and challenges. Micayla believes in building strong therapeutic relationships and truly getting to know her patients, using their passions and strengths as tools for meaningful progress. She is passionate about incorporating nature, play, and connection into the healing process, and she strives to create a calm, supportive environment where children can thrive, while fostering confidence, connection, and joy along the way.
Outside of the clinic, she finds daily inspiration in nature and in the experience of raising her two young children. Being a parent has deepened her empathy, enriched her perspectives, and strengthened her beliefs in the importance of playful, relationship-based learning—values she brings into every session as a pediatric occupational therapist.
